So, what is a solar module in the first place? A solar module is a number of solar "cells" all wired together in a module. Each cell produces a small amount of current and voltage and by combining them into a module, there individual power production is combined.
If you live in a sunny state, you may feel that you are passing by the natural resource that is in your own backyard. And you are. If you live in Seattle, solar is probably not for you, but if you live in Phoenix, you are letting a good thing go by.
You may have been putting off setting up your own solar system because its so expense. After-all, some systems can cost you five or ten thousand dollars to setup. That is a pretty big commitment, and frankly, unless you have cash coming out your ears, it isn't really practical for a lot of folks.
However, you can start using solar now for a lot less, by doing it yourself. Typically, solar modules or panels cost about per watt. So, a 100 watt panel will cost around 0. However, by doing the work yourself and following the methods provided in the Earth For Energy eBook, you can produce a 100 watt panel for less than 0. That is only 30% of what it would ordinarily cost. So, you can produce more than three times the power for the same price. Now that is a good deal.
If you have solar resources available in your backyard, and you are thinking of going solar, why spend thousands, when you could spend hundreds. Why give your money away to a "brand name" when you can produce more than three times the power doing-it-yourself.
I have not checked in here for a while because I thought it was getting boring, but the last few posts are good quality so I guess I'll add you back to my daily bloglist. You deserve it my friend :)
